Sebastian Gates-Graceson is a Jamaican-American actor based out of East Lyme, Connecticut. Since discovering his love for music and theatre, Sebastian immediately began his training. He was a three-time member of the Bushnell Center’s Ensign Darling New Voices Vocal Fellowship, where he studied voice and performance across multiple genres. He has also trained at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, Connecticut, as both a Junior and Senior Fellow in the O’Neill’s Cabaret and Performance Conference. He made his NYC theatrical debut in 2023 when he played Officer Lockstock in Urinetown at the Five Angels Theater in Manhattan. He is currently attending Emerson College in Boston, pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre, and is expected to graduate in May of 2028. He is incredibly humbled by the opportunities he has had to perform in theaters all across Connecticut, New York City, and most recently, Boston. He made his Boston professional debut his freshman year, when he played the lead role of Tommy Clark in Locker No. 89 at the Calderwood Pavilion. Other select credits include: Tuck Everlasting, Disney’s Freaky Friday, Vodú (Staged Reading), The Laramie Project*, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Twelfth Night. Sebastian commonly takes part in other professional opportunities, including cabarets and performance gigs. Other passions include exploring the outdoors, playing music, dancing, song writing, and athletics. Sebastian remains committed to making theatre a safe and inclusive space to actors and theatergoers alike!
